Our story

Founded in 2015 with a straightforward premise

Business education at the time was abundant, but instruction on how to build, evaluate, and maintain partnerships was scattered across expensive consulting engagements or buried inside MBA electives. Qytrae was set up to address that gap directly — through structured live webinars accessible to participants regardless of where they are based.

Knowing your competitive landscape

One of the most common blind spots in business development is a misreading of who your real competitors are. Understanding how to identify your business's true competitors requires looking beyond the obvious market names. Direct competitors share your product category, but indirect competitors solve the same customer problem through a different mechanism — and they are often the more disruptive threat. Our sessions address this systematically, using live case analysis rather than theoretical frameworks.

How sessions work

Structure over inspiration

Each Qytrae webinar is built around a defined problem rather than a broad topic. Participants receive a pre-session brief, work through a live analysis with the presenting expert, and leave with a documented output — not just notes. The format is deliberately dense because the professionals who attend are not beginners looking for orientation.

Sessions run across time zones with recordings available for asynchronous review. Interactive tools — live polling, structured Q&A queues, shared annotation — are embedded into every broadcast, not treated as optional add-ons.

1

Competitive mapping before strategy

Sessions on partnership development begin with competitive analysis. Understanding how to identify your business's true competitors clarifies which potential partners are genuinely complementary and which carry latent conflict. This step is often skipped in practice, which is why many partnerships underperform within the first 18 months.

2

Alignment criteria, not chemistry

Partnership decisions based on personal rapport tend to lack durability. Qytrae sessions introduce structured alignment criteria — shared customer segments, compatible pricing philosophy, compatible growth pace — that can be evaluated before any formal commitment is made.

3

Negotiation as a design problem

Terms that look balanced at signing often become points of friction when circumstances change. The third phase of each partnership module covers how to build agreements that accommodate growth, role shifts, and exit — treating negotiation as structural design rather than a one-time transaction.

Who participates

The typical participant is a business development manager, founder, or senior consultant operating across at least two markets. Geographic diversity in each session is intentional — it surfaces the regulatory and cultural variables that generic partnership advice tends to flatten out. No two cohorts face the same set of constraints, and the live format makes that visible in real time.
